District Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses July 6, 2013

Thousands of Jehovah’s Witnesses from parts of four states attend a three-day annual convention at the Mitchell Center on the University of South Alabama campus Saturday, July 6, 2013, in Mobile, Ala. Officials estimated that as many as 7,000 people from Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida — some church members and some invitees — will attend the free events, which started Friday morning and concludes Sunday afternoon. Candidates for baptism, standing, are recognized during the convention.
